COVID-19 GUIDELINES for reopening

To Our Amazing Clients…We miss you!!!

While we won’t be able to shake your hand or give you a hug (for now!), please know how excited we are to open our doors and welcoming you back. The health, safety & well-being of our guests, staff and community are most important to us. We have been working hard preparing for our reopening. At this time, we are waiting to reopen in June 2020.

We know our clients expect the highest standards and we are committed to providing that even during this challenging time. Please read below, the temporary changes necessary, in order to be reunited with you once again…

The State of Connecticut has issued guidelines for us to follow. Meeting and exceeding the already strict guidelines that ensure hygiene in our salon, we have instituted the following additional hygiene measures:

  • All stylists are required to wear a CDC-recommended face mask that covers the nose and mouth in a snug manner. They will also wear a face shield.

  • 6 feet of space between work stations.

  • We invested in a design specialist that has created custom plexiglass protection that surrounds the entire front desk and over-sized dividers are installed between all the hair washing sinks, for everyone's safety.

  • Stylists will wash their hands frequently, and wipes and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the salon’s areas for your use.

  • Stylist stations and salon chairs are wiped down and sanitized between all services. We will allow adequate time to clean, disinfect and sanitize between guests.

  • Prior to opening each day, salons will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to city, county, state and federal mandates.

  • All door pushes and handles will be wiped down frequently.

  • Shared space chairs and surfaces will be wiped down frequently.

  • The common area will be free of magazines and any other frequently-handled items.

  • While we encourage using contactless payment whenever possible; credit card terminals will be wiped and sanitized frequently.

  • Salon will operate at 50% capacity. We have issued two shifts per day, to rotate our team to keep within the 50% capacity rule.

  • Sanitized smocks will be provided to every guest before entering the salon.

  • Our staff will undergo daily wellness checks, for your protection and theirs.

For the health and wellbeing of our communities, please know that any employee presenting symptoms will stay home from work for 14 days.

It is recommended in the guidelines from The State of Connecticut, that anyone age 65+ or with a compromised immune system, stay home.



Booking Appointments

Appointments can be made by calling the salon at any time. Only scheduled appointments are allowed to enter the salon.

  • To secure your appointment, we are asking you to provide us with your preferred payment method for streamlined checkout at the salon.

  • To insure appointments are scheduled with sanitation time between and limit guest exposure to one another.

  • A salon coordinator will call your mobile phone when it is time for you to enter the building, we ask that you wait in your car until contacted for your appointment.

  • Please observe distancing outside the entrance.

  • Card information must be up to date in order to check out using the card on file and avoid card usage at the desk.

  • Please cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well.

Extra color charge:
Please understand if you are getting a color retouch or needed corrective work, clients may expect to pay a one-time up-charge of $20+ if needed only for additional color. Your colorist will have a thorough consultation with you prior to your service to discuss options to get your color services back on track. Thank you for your understanding.

Health Check

Upon entry we will be taking your temperature to insure no one enters with a temperature of 99.4 degrees or more. If this occurs we will cancel your appointment and ask you to call in to reschedule.

We ask for you to monitor your own health/temperature and if there is any change to let us know so we may adjust your appointment in advance.

Arriving for Your Appointment

Please be patient with us, we are adjusting and we know you are as well.

  • Only guests with appointments will be admitted to the salon.

  • Please arrive with all protective precautions. Face masks are required and hand protection is strongly recommended. If you need a mask or have forgotten one, we have masks for sale for $2.00. Eye protection is also an option. During the front door health check, anyone without hand protection must sanitize their hands before entry will be allowed.

  • Face masks must be of behind the ear design. No behind the head attachments, scarves or bandanas will be allowed.

  • Do not remove your mask during your visit

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Please wait in your car and we will call you when your stylist/colorist is ready.

  • You will be handed your protective smock outside the front door. All staff will change into a new smock at the start of each service. Please plan to put on your smock at your provider’s station as the changing rooms will be closed. Please avoid wearing any turtlenecks or sweater material that may catch hair clippings beyond what the protective smock can cover. We suggest you wear a shirt that will be easy to put the smock over.

  • Our waiting area and changing room will be closed.

  • While outside of the salon, please practice social distancing.

  • One of our team members will guide you to your provider’s station - please follow the social distancing traffic markings on the floor.

  • Bring only the essentials into the salon: we suggest your keys, phone, and payment. No handbags or food/beverage items please - your space will be limited. Coats and umbrellas will remain with you during your service.

  • We will be unable to serve beverages, if you choose to bring your own, consider a beverage with a straw so you can drink while still wearing your mask.

  • Please be aware of social distancing while in the salon. We ask that you continue to be mindful of physical contact, distancing, and placement of your personal items.

Color Appointments
Please arrive for your color service with clean, dry hair. Shampoos prior to service will not be allowed.


We prefer credit cards but will continue to accept all forms of payment.

  • To minimize front desk traffic, we will have your preferred payment method on file. Your service provider will tell you the total for your visit and the front desk will process your card or form of payment, and provide a receipt. If you prefer an electronic receipt, please provide us with your email address.

  • Venmo is an option for tipping, all our team members have an account.

  • If you need to purchase products, please ask your service provider or desk person for assistance. We want to avoid handling of the product displays. All sales are final. No returns will be accepted while under a state of emergency. Retail items will be placed in a bag on a table by the front door with your name on it.

  • These changes are only on a temporary basis.
